Journal #1: Sonny's Blues

I see a dancer. Her body and the rhythm to the music are intertwining. She leaps into the air as the song makes a short break. Stunning. Mesmerizing. She lands on her feet and continues gallovanting, letting her hear and soul pour out of her bones. The music is her, she is the music. They are one. No footsteps are heard, there is nothing but song. So light and graceful while the sound is heavy and bold. Complete opposites, yet they flow together like water and sand. A beautiful obstruction. The song nears an end as the young girl closes her eyes and twirls until the sound is no more. The music has stopped, her eyes open, but she continues spinning around and around. She slows. Feet stop and flex on the floor. She bows. The audience roars.
Journal #2: No One Knows That I...

No one knows that I am actually a demigod. Krysha the Amazing is real. Nobody can come close to her excellence and beauty. By day, she is a struggling student trying to get by in this human world. By night, she flies through the skies, looking over her surroundings and taking notes on how humans behave and act. Some days she gets bored and toys with the humans; causing chaos and thunderstorms. Her best friend, and mentor, Jennifer the Wicked, taught her all she needs to know. They sometimes team together to better this puny speck of a world called Earth. Although, they may have to harm or even kill bad people, their hearts are pure and full of gold.
Journal #3: Desire

What is it that you desire most? Happiness. Happiness rules the world. Sure, there are material things that make you happy, but people can also give you happiness. Emotions take over us all the time. Everyone has a different meaning to happiness, though. Some people need money to be happy, some need a group of friends around them at all times. For me, I'm happy when everything in my life is in balance. I'm doing well in school, my job is going great, I have friends and family who care about me, and I'm well fed and have my own shelter. LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL, so why not be happy?! Happiness spreads and can be quite contagious. Spread the word, spread the happiness.
Journal #4: A Midnight Visitor

The night is cold. The only light is coming from the stars and the full moon. The air is eerie and thick. Halloween is tomorrow and all I can think about is getting dressed up and going to my first costume party. I've always loved Halloween, ever since I was a little girl. It was never about the candy and treats for me, it was more about disguising myself into something spooky. I always loved the thrill of haunted houses and I've always wanted to have my own ghost siting. I am alone in the house tonight, because my big sister is over at her best friends house and my parents are up at the cabin decorating for their own party. I can't sleep, so I turn over and look at the clock. It is 11:55. I get up and head towards the kitchen. I see the bag of candy full of all my favorites. I dig in and pour myself a glass of milk. "Knock knock". It was the faintest sound, but I swore I heard someone at the door. It's almost midnight, who in the hell could it be? I begin to tremble as I make my way to the front door, trying as hard as I can to not make any noise. I peek into the peephole. Nothing. I open the curtains slightly to look into the street. Nothing. "Meow". A dark furry object runs behind me and up the stairs. I jump and let out a small gasp. I don't even own a cat! And a cat couldn't have knocked on the door. Someone is here...I grab my phone and turn on the safety light. "Slam!". The back door! I sprint to the kitchen and there stood a dark cloaked figure. I drop my phone and run. I don't know what to do. I race upstairs to my room, open my closet door quietly, and I sit and wait. Is this where I die? "Screeeeech". Nails dragging down a wall. It wasn't coming from outside, but behind me, in the closet. I feel a hand creep up my shoulder. I scream and bolt out of the closet. "Hahahaha!". Laughing? Another cloaked figure steps out behind me and removes their hood. My sister is practically crying, her best friend steps into the room, crying with laughter as well. Her black cat in her arms. This is the best Halloween ever.
Journal #5: Filing Cabinet
![Picture](/uploads/4/0/9/1/40918693/412431.jpg?255)
In the left corner of the room, behind the filing cabinet, I heard a faint whisper. I was the only one in the room, actually the only one in the entire office. I was working on some paperwork that needed to be finished the next morning. The hair on the back of my neck stood straight up. This was not funny. The only light was coming from my desk lamp, everything surrounding me was complete and utter darkness. Shakily, I headed towards the door to turn on the overhead light. Before I was even five feet from my desk, someone...or something grabbed my ankle and began dragging me to the left corner of the room. I couldn't make a sound, I was so shocked. And would it even matter if I screamed? No one would hear me. Before I knew it, I was falling. Everything was pitch black. Still falling. No stopping. Just silence and falling. I finally came to a stop. I opened my eyes cautiously and there I was, sitting in my chair with the desk lamp on. I looked at the left corner of the room, behind the filing cabinet, I saw bright, sharp teeth form a smile.
